Maybe you’ve rallied for trade justice, put money in our little red envelope, or cheered on our climate change march. Don’t stop there. Show your commitment to fighting poverty by making a gift to Christian Aid in your will.
Make a lasting stand against the injustice of poverty – for this generation and for generations to come.
Each year hundreds of people remember Christian Aid in their wills. These gifts represent an astonishing 10 per cent of our income – money that’s used to support all our work. It helps educate children who would otherwise be trapped at home, provides life-giving support for people with HIV, sends aid where it’s needed at times of disaster, and enables communities bearing the brunt of a changed climate to protect themselves not just today, but in the future.
You can provide them and others with the help they need to lift themselves out of hardship. That’s a gift to be remembered.
‘As a long-term supporter of Christian Aid, it was a natural choice to include a gift in my will. Christian Aid is making such a difference in our troubled, divided world. I am glad to know that I can go on helping, and that Christian Aid will put my money to good use.’
Christian Aid supporter Brian Lay
Here’s what your gift could make possible:
£650 could provide a well for a community in Bangladesh
£10,000 could help nearly a thousand South African children who have lost their parents to HIV – giving them food, clothes and emotional support for a year
£50,000 could help five villages in El Salvador produce enough food to make the whole community healthy and have a decent income
£100,000 could enable people hardest hit by climate change to shift to clean energy – like the solar panels our partners in Sri Lanka are installing – and help us press governments to find solutions to climate change. If we speak out together, we’ll be heard.
